Christmas Blessings!

I hope this message finds you well and in good health. As we celebrate the final days of the Christmas season through the fullness of Epiphany, we recognize the time of darkness and uncertainty experienced in the world this past year. Like the star, we are called to be a beacon of light for those who are seeking the hope of Christ. The Board and I, through the consultation of staff and the membership community, have given deep thought as to how our organization, a national Catholic community dedicated to evangelization and catechesis, can be a driver of transformative change for good in this world. What we are called to do is clear:

Transform the world by reflecting Christ

That statement is now the guiding mission statement for our new organization, In Word and Witness. Our expanded mission encompasses all those working to reflect Christ on Earth. In Word and Witness commits to  standing in solidarity with all God’s people, authentically witnessing faith, and approaching organizational decision-making with a spirit of discernment.

You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden,” Jesus said to the crowds during The Sermon on the Mount. “just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5: 14-16

As someone working to reflect Christ every day, we would love you to join us  in amplifying our message, new brand, and all that In Word and Witness has to offer. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, and share with us how you act as the light of the world. Visit us regularly online at inwordandwitness.org as we  illuminate our new organizational mission.

If you are not a member of our community, we would love for you to be part of it. As our gift to you, we would like to give you $15 off your paid membership  when registering before February 15th.

In the Light of Christ,

Margaret Matijasevic
